Flikky Market is a family oriented local business with an humble beginning from home in Red Deer Alberta. We opened our store in Central Alberta in August of 2015 called Flikky African Market; since then it's been growing steady with lots of challenges but survived all odds.
We moved into our current location at Mid City Plaza, with a functional meat shop, hair accessories, day to day groceries as you will expect from an international market. We are blessed to carry fresh produce and other regular items from Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Latin America and India. We became incorporated in 2020 with the vision to expand our product line in the next 2 years.
As the demands for ethnic foods began to increase, we saw the need to expand to the Northern Alberta hence the reason for opening a branch at Grande Prairie in December 2020
Before we opened in GP most families drive 4.5 hours to Edmonton to buy the food they grew up with, this was very challenging for an average family who still have to cope with work from Monday to Saturday
